Before & After: Todays job was upgrading an old distribution board to bring it up to current regulations.
The new distribution board has separate RCBO’s for each circuit, protecting the customer and any guests from electric shocks.
The benefit of having a separate one for each circuit means it will minimise disruption when there is a fault on the electrical system as you only lose power to that one circuit.
If your distribution board looks like the before photo, I highly recommend you get it upgraded for your own safety!
